What It Is
This is by far the best dupe I have seen for the SK100 toner that just isn’t within everyone’s budget to use. Moisturizes and preps the skin for maximum absorption of products used after it. Fermented black rice is the star ingredient in this essence like toner. This toner also contains beta glucan, glycerine, and of course hyaluronic acid since it’s in the product name. All of these ingredients offer maximum hydrating benefits for the user’s skin. It does however have alcohol in it, the drying kind which I was surprised to find out. It does not have the smell of alcohol so unless you look at the ingredients you’d probably never know it was in the formula. Though this toner has drying alcohol in it, it’s non drying.
The Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner comes in two varieties, and multiple sizes; this makes it accessible and useful to everyone who wants to try it out. I received the OG formulation that has fragrance but it is available in unscented as well if you have sensitive skin and or nose. I received a large bottle as a YESSTYLE GIFT, and then I was given their black rice travel set which includes mini bottles of every product in their Black Rice line. It definitely makes traveling easier because the bottles are tsa approved, and come in a sealable case perfect for throwing in a travel bag or suitcase.
How To Use
Apply to a cotton round or use hands
Press into the skin gently, all over the face. Concentrating on your more dry prone areas.
Follow up with other routine products.
My Thoughts
I do enjoy using this toner but I think it is a bit overhyped. It is very watery, making it more of an essence in my opinion. It does give your skin a good burst of hydration but I find if I dont layer it with other toners, and serums the hydrated feeling doesn’t last too long. I have normal to dry skin though, so my face tends to really need a drink lol. I think that this is a toner best suited for warmer weather rather than cold because it is so light. I don’t mind the lavender scent because it is not strong but I will definitely repurchase the unscented version, only because lavender is not a scent I enjoy very much.
