SKIN1004 Hyalua Cica Sleeping Pack Review

The was my first introduction into using an overnight mask. Ever since trying them out, I can’t go back to not using one. I used to think that they would be really thick, and sticky but the Hyalua Cica Sleeping Pack proved me wrong. Its a great addition to my skin regimen, and one of my favorite parts now.

What It Is

An overnight face mask with ceramides to support the skin barrier, centella asiatica to soothe skin irritation, and hyaluronic acid to give give your skin long lasting hydration, and a glowing complexion when you wake up from your beauty sleep. Sleeping pack may be a new term to you like it was to me but it just means it is a hydrating, and skin nourishing face mask to use overnight while you sleep. They are very popular in K beauty routines because Korean women focus more on keeping skin healthy and clear to use little to no makeup. They are what a night cream is to us western beauty enthusiasts. The texture is gel like and creamy, that applies evenly and easily to the skin.

How To Use

  • Cleanse Skin gently and remove cleanser thoroughly
  • Follow up with toners to calm skin and bring it back to a balanced PH level
  • Apply serums liberally and gently
  • Moisturize skin
  • Apply sleeping pack at night to face and neck as the last step in your skincare regimen

My Thoughts

I have been using the Hyalua Cica Sleeping Pack so long now that I can’t remember never using a sleeping pack in my routine. My skin has changed over the years as I have gotten older and have been treating my hormone imbalance correctly. My skin has gone from being more oily to balanced and often drier than Id like. Using this mask to seal in all of my wonderful skin loving products at night has been a huge game changer. I’ve always been obsessed with using moisturizer all over my body, including my face and I used to think I was doing the best I could do for my skin. Let me tell you that yes, while my skin was moisturised and supple with my avid moisturizing, my skin is definitely so much more hydrated, brighter, and dare I say younger looking since I discovered using this face pack. It is a great product to use to heal my skin barrier when it has been compromised by too many acids and over exfoliation.

I use this mask 2 ways at night.

  • As a stand alone moisturizer I rub into my skin
  • As an occlusive after my moisturizer, what many in the K-beauty world call Slugging. Slugging is when you use a heavier moisturizer with oils and or butters to lock in hydrating products such as serums and toners.
